Identity and nomenclature
Three stoichiometries trade under this name — the free tripeptide (CAS 49557-75-7, MW 340.38), the 1:1 copper complex (CAS 89030-95-5, MW 401.91) and the 2:1 complex (CAS 130120-56-8, MW 742.3). This site currently lists the 50 mg product as GHK and the 100 mg as GHK-Cu, which are different compounds. Confirm with the supplier which is shipped before publishing any identifier.
Analysis and documentation
Each lot is assayed by an independent laboratory. Purity is determined by reversed-phase HPLC and reported as the main peak as a percentage of total peak area. Identity is confirmed by mass spectrometry, comparing the observed mass against the theoretical mass for the formula above. The certificate for the lot shipped states the purity figure, the net peptide content, the counterion and the date of analysis.
Handling and storage
Store the sealed vial at -20 °C, desiccated and protected from light. Allow the vial to reach room temperature before opening, so that atmospheric moisture does not condense onto the lyophilised solid. Lyophilised material is shipped at ambient temperature.
Research use only
Supplied for in-vitro laboratory research. Not for human or veterinary use, and not for diagnostic or therapeutic use of any kind. Not evaluated by the FDA.
